Zumvo is Alexander Artem'ev from Moscow, Russian Federation and Disintegration. Magnetic recording and vinyl electroplating engineer plays records and tells stories. Started as acid folk experience in 2017 at Saulkrasti, Latvija. And now we have what we have - groovy sound collages with telegram messages, vinyl scratches, synths, acoustic guitar, mpc glitches, etc.

The fourth (nominally) release comes to CANT (chronologically the third, huh). This is Sasha Artemyev's album "Razvodi" (marbles). Today his alias is Zumvo, and I have known Sasha for almost 20 years. Artemyev played punk and hardcore, as well as Hatsue Kill, Panihida, Bicycles For Afghanistan. Actually, once upon a time we also played in the same band, recorded music together and walked around Tushino. I think I was still in school at this moment. The last 6 years, we did not particularly communicate.

I don’t have a press release or some kind of genre description on my hands, and I’m not good at reviews or selling texts, that is, the situation is worse than that of some kind of nippy music journalist. This cassette is the music of a good-natured rascal, not in the sense that its author seeks to deceive you, to benefit from contact with you, more like a cheeky person, childish in some way. It is a way chosen by the lyrical hero to cope with himself and others. Funny optional conversations, relaxed guitar jams. Even the wild stereo, in which fragments of the compositions are located, surprisingly discharges the air inside this recording - it is easy and comfortable to move around.

The album begins with the phrase "I congratulate you on the first day of summer," for me the anthem of this series of stuffy events and thunderstorms is the album code - a song with a stupefying, repeating refrain "Fun", as if answering the question "How does journey go? " Fun. Fucking fun. Fucking not. The cheeky good rascal said goodbye to his friends and was left alone in an empty room.

This release, not as an album, but as an event, rests on fragments. Cuts of audio messages, samples of randomly heard records, pieces of biography and memories. We drew each cover with my daughter Alice - tapes (50 of them) are wrapped in originals, there are no identical ones. And Sasha sorted out Unity to collect virtual space for the album, and this is again a collage in which you can find tracks and songs from the album, hanging screeches of whales or dolphins.

На CANT выходит номинально четвертый релиз, но хронологически - третий. Это альбом Саши Артемьева "Разводы". Сегодня его проект называется Zumvo (или Зумво), а я знаю Сашу почти 20 лет. Артемьев играл в панк и хардкор, а также в Hatsue Kill, Панихида, Велики для Афганистана. Когда-то давно мы играли в одной группе, записывали вместе музыку и гуляли по Тушино. Мне кажется, я еще учился в школе, а Саша - на первом курсе. Последние лет 6 мы особо не общались.

У меня нет на руках пресс-релиза и какого-то жанрового описания, а я не силен в рецензиях или продающих текстах, то есть ситуация хуже, чем у какого-нибудь расторопного музыкального журналиста. Запись на этой кассете, это музыка добродушного проходимца, не в смысле, что ее автор стремиться обмануть вас, извлечь выгоду из контакта с вами. Скорее, это избранный лирическим героем способ справиться с собой и окружающими. Веселые необязательные разговоры, расслабленные гитарные партии. Даже дикое стерео, в котором расположены фрагменты композиций, удивительно разряжает воздух внутри этой записи — в ней легко и комфортно перемещаться.

И хотя альбом начинается с фразы "поздравляю тебя с первым днем лета", для меня гимном этой череды душных событий и гроз служит кода альбома — песня с отупляющим, повторяющимся рефреном "Весело", как бы отвечающая на брошенный в середине альбома вопрос "Как проходит ваше путешествие?". Весело. Охуенно весело. Нихуя не весело. Проходимец попрощался со своими друзьями и остался один в пустой комнате.

Этот релиз, не как альбом, а именно как событие — держится на фрагментах. Обрывки аудиосообщений, семплы прослушанных пластинок, куски биографии и воспоминаний. Каждую обложку мы нарисовали с моей дочкой Алисой — кассеты завернуты в оригиналы, одинаковых нет. А еще Саша взял и разобрался с Unity, чтобы собрать к альбому виртуальное пространство и это опять коллаж, в котором зависли треки и песни с альбома, визги китов, дельфинов.
